What's new...
... as of July, 2006
Greetings to everyone! We hope 2006 has been good to you so far. Laurel celebrated her second birthday in May, while little Robert's first is in August. Both children are happy and healthy, and spending plenty of time in the swimming pool (Florida summers are legendary for their heat!) with their Mom, Dad, and grandparents.
On to Carolina matters! We have news that we know will have some of our repeat guests dancing in the aisles! We've finally stocked our Hidden Hills Cabin pond with catfish, bluegill, and bass! Since the fish went in at fingerling-plus size they will need to grow for awhile before ya'll start heading down to the pond with your poles and bait, but it won't be long. By the way... it's a catch-and-release operation! :)
We reported our new view in our last cabin newsletter, but word from guests who've stayed at our Cabin in Hidden Hills both "before 'n after" is that the "view-enhanced" porch is to die for! We hope you'll like it.
In response to requests from you, our guests and friends, we've added a second television to the gameroom in both our SilverTree Cabin and Cabin in Hidden Hills. Enjoy your time playing foosball, darts, pool, and video games while taking in a DVD movie (players are integrated into the TV!) or watching your favorite show (ours is "Lost".) The additional TVs have satellite receivers attached so you can change channels independently on each unit in each cabin.
At our SilverTree Cabin, we've also cleared and grassed the back yard. We opened SilverTree Cabin to pets late last year and it has been a success, so we're going to continue "Operation DogTrot." We hope the back yard (which is fenced in) will be a fun spot for Fido to tool around in while the family lounges on the back deck, or in the Air Chairs.
Last but not least, we've 'stocked' both cabins with high chairs for our guests with small children. No longer will you have to heft along the family high chair along with the bags! You can find the high chairs in the utility room in both cabins.
This has been our busiest summer ever. Our "new friend" list grows every year as so many of you have made our cabins a regular vacation destination. While summers in our cabins are always busy, both cabins have booked solid well in advance of the summer months, for the first time ever this year. We are truly blessed to have such great guests at our cabins. We thank you for your business and can't wait to have you back soon. Now is a great time to book for the fall foliage months, so get in touch sooner than later so we can reserve your week!
Stay happy, stay healthy, and take care of each other out there!
